Primary/Middle School Principal (China)

New School Opens: August 2020
Job Begins: January 2020

Chiway Education group invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of campus Primary and Middle years Principal. This is a new school opening August 2020. Ideally the successful candidate will report to work early January 2020.

Be accountable for all aspects of the school to ensure compliance with all Chiway Education group regulations
Establish a collaborative culture that will maintain a positive focus on the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of all students
Examine and utilize data regularly through various means (e.g culture/climate surveys, opinion surveys, needs assessment)
Establish and exhibit high expectations for all staff through consistency in supervision
Monitor instruction to ensure that the curriculum is being taught with fidelity in every classroom
Drive marketing events that support student enrollment
Accountability for total student admission and enrollment
Create a culture within the school that will enlist greater parental involvement
Attend meetings, conferences and workshops as may be deemed beneficial to the interest of the school or group
Work with HR to support the hiring process
Perform other duties as may be approved by the group leadership and as may be necessary for the efficient and effective operation of Chiway Education group’s school

Must be native proficiency in English, business level Chinese is a plus
Advanced Degree from an Accredited College/University
Professional Educator License with a Principal or General Administrative Endorsement is a plus
Be able to function and excel in a multicultural team
Preferably has good operating knowledge of China K12 education environment
Progressive education experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a classroom teacher and 2 years’ as a school
Principal Strong background in curriculum, instruction, and school management is highly desirable
Worked with or a strong familiarity with A-level and or IB curriculum
Successful track record of training and mentoring in the field of international education
Have strong personal and professional integrity and honesty
